How to do it?

In the left side of the disk utility page, you will find your SD cards name. Click on your SD card name. Click on the Erase Below the format heading, you will find a box and click on it. Hi guys, I have an SD Card 8Gb that I used to use in a Win computer. I'm now a Mac user. The SD Card can be read, but can not be formatted or have any files deleted or inserted. The slider in turned ok on the card, but the properties of it keep saying 'read-only' permission. And in the Disk Utility app the options to erase the sd card are all.

The cameras listed above have a built in failsafe to help reduce the chance of mistakenly losing footage from the micro SD card. While plugged into the computer with a USB cable, you have the ability to automatically copy your files from your camera into your computers hard drive using Importer (so long as the 'Automatic Delete' option is selected during setup/in preferences). As an alternative, if you want to delete content from the SD card you can use these options:
Use the Delete menu on the camera

  1. Copy any desired files from your camera's SD card to your computer.
  2. Ensure that the SD card is installed in the camera, then power the camera on.
  3. Swipe down on the touch display (HERO9 Black, Swipe left after swiping down)
  4. Tap 'Preferences.'
